
Cheese Tea Biscuits

CHEESE TEA BISCUITS (Recipe courtesy of my mama):
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheese (cheddar or marble)
Instructions:
- Mix together flour, baking powder and salt
- Cut in butter until consistency is crumbly
- Make a well in the centre of the dough and pour in milk; mix well
- Add cheese and mix thoroughly
- Turn dough into floured surface and knead gently
- Drop by spoonful on increased cookie sheet
- Bake in oven at 400F for 12-15 minutes
